I’m newbie and know nothing about coding, just wanted to have personal portfolio website. I had signed up with iPage because my friend recommend. He has his account with iPage and impress with the support team. That is what newbie like me wanted as well.
iPage support staff helped me through set up process step by step until everything settled, only 30 minutes!! I figured this would take at least hour or two, or even longer. 30 minutes was awesome and show how skillful of iPage support staff.
If you are newbie like me, go with iPage. You won’t be treated like a dumb ass or a fools but valued customer.

I have to thanks with technical support from ipage. They had found my website was hacking by a Russian hacker. He tried to access root folder and hack my admin page. ipage support successfully prevented that hack attempt. I have no idea what was going on until a message from them. I have been advised about my website loop hole caused the issued and ways to fix them.
Personal impressed with ipage hosting services and really recommended!!

iPage support was impressed me. I called technical support once at 3 a.m. when I found my blog messed up, I did change on template like “here” and “there” without knowledge. I did not hope someone would picking up my call at that time. I thought “how the hell if someone would be there at that time!”
Surprise!! My call was picked up and I couldn’t believe it myself. They were friendly and helpful and my problem had been fixed for only 10 minutes!! ipage support is quality as advertised.

With iPage, I am able to set preferences and configure my email accounts with good security features. I am also able to set up hosted domains, all in a simple interface. With the facility to view instant bandwidth and disk space usage, there is no complaint than a small improvement in customer service could take them to become the number one webhosting providers.

I found iPage through cNet. Cnet’s rating said you could complete your transaction completely online. Not true. They didn’t have a function to open an account unless you register a new domain or want to transfer a domain. No. I control the domains. I’ve been burned way too many times when I want to transfer.
So, I took cNet’s word, and contacted iPage. The only time I ever reached them was to give them a credit card number. I never received an email with login info, I never was able to reach a human on the phone, I tried their “chat” but no one home…I sent them two emails from their form…and nothing.
It’s four days later, and I found another host. I have to dispute the charges with my credit card.
Thanks iPage. You suck.

My Joomla website went down after a new component had been installed. I do not have any recent backup, both files and database. I had no choice but to contact ipage customer support by phone, without much expected honestly. Surprisingly!! they have a most recent back up and my website got restored in only a few minutes after I called. They have threated me with quick service, politely and professionally.

ipage is professional in service and securely. I have just set up an account a few minutes ago and they called me to confirm my purchase. The agent whom called me was very courteous and friendly. This is not what I expected from such a cheap hosting company like this but they did. It was impressed and the welcome email had arrived shortly after confirmation was done. I would do business with them again absolutely.

I’m with Steven P. A truly horrible company.
To get a simple web hosting plan you have to wade through 5 or 6 screens of upselling, THEN once registered, you HAVE to move your domain name registration to them (which – surprise! – is probably more expensive than your existing registrar)…of course there’s no warning of this ahead of time.
Then you cancel for your ‘full money back refund’ only to find that anything you purchased during the endless upselling is NOT refunded.
They’re simply a bunch of con artists as far as I’m concerned. I went for Inmotion instead.
Thanks for the suggestion of contesting via credit card – will do.

I just completed the registration process for iPage, and now (quite a few hours later) I am talking/chatting with various questionably-human “support” representatives, and nobody can seem to figure out why I didn’t get my login information in the email. I’ve been promised it was resent, still nothing. They have my $42, I have nothing. I’ve confirmed my email address with each of the representatives I’ve spoken with, and they assure me within 24 hours I will get a response from an account “specialist”. How is a specialist required to send account information? I need to find hosting quick or I am going to be down many times the $42. Tomorrow, if I do not hear anything, I am opening a dispute with PayPal and moving to other options.
I agree, iPage, you suck. Go paginate yourselves and disperse among the recycle bins of your lost customers.

My first 6 days with them was struggled but fine aferwards. It might be my bad luck for signed up with them when their main server were transferring and caused unreliable service.

To be clear and give more accurate information, IPage only offers $3.50 for the first year. The regular price of $7.95 kicks in the 2nd year. Price for domain and public privacy are not included. Mine 2nd year with IPage cost was at around $97 for 12 months.The database c-panel wasn’t user-friendly. I then canceled and gone with other hosting.

You get what you pay for with iPage. They say they have POP3 email but it it’s not fully functional. The delete from server command does not work when you retrieve email.. so your server inbox will eventually fill up iPage will bounce your emails back to sender. When setting up your email accounts, their documentation tells you to use pop.yourdomain.com and smtp.yourdomain.com for inbound & outbound. This does not work, and after having your time wasted contacting customer service, they will verbally tell you to use pop.ipage.com and smtp.ipage.com as a workaround. Wow, talk about goofy. They say they have over a million customers… so why can’t they make their mailserver work on a 30+ year old basic mail protocol? I have to log in to webmail, for each of my accounts, and manually delete my mail, 20 emails at a time. How fun! Oh, tech support insisted that it’s never been possible to delete from server on a pop account and insisted that I switch to iMAP protocol. What a joke.

Poor hosting for newbie with poor quality support. I wonder for anyone saying about “fast and quality support” here might get paid just to write it. A waste of time to get refund. They used to be reliable until oversold lately and server crashes five times a day (at least I might add).

Sometime it can be that fast while sometime the response time is terrible, especially during heavy usage period around middle of the day (sucks is the right word to describe). Most of the time I called support I have been told “the issues will be solved shortly” like a robot response. They used to be a great company until they have gotten bigger then the service has gone down. Three times a week is unacceptable

The iPage interface is simple to use and the pricing they offer is also affordable. The unlimited up time is a great thing to have in your web hosting package. I have used several hosting companies before settling for iPage and they offer many functional features that are hard to find in other hosts. The customer support is by far the best available on internet by any host. The support personnel are not only supportive but are genuinely knowledgeable and provide resolutions to your problems. I have no words to write about this professional web hosting company. I am very grateful to their support. The representatives from the company are very professional and honest. Every time I got the right and quick solutions of my hosting related problems.
I am not a techie guy. I don’t know about how to manage server, FTP or any other stuff related to the web hosting. I am simply a blogger who just know about writing. They setup my blog on the wordpress platform and provide me admin password. I was also not good in WP but the guys from the hosting company taught me about how to take backups, how to manage blog etc. They also trained me about how to manage cpanel.
Every time when I asked for help, they provide the best. I never called them as they answered my questions on the chat or support ticket.
