Dot5, which is apparently the same company as Startlogic, let my domain registration expire. They said I would have a free domain name, but yet they sent me an email saying my domain was about to expire. So I called them and gave them my credit card number and they charge it and sent me an email saying that my domain registration had been renewed for 2 years. Today I’m getting a message that my web site can’t be found. I went to another host, entered my domain name, and my domain name is available. I submitted a ticket to Dot5 about this and all they did was close the ticket without comment and without resolving the problem.

Brian I think that was really unfair of them to close your ticket without even commenting. I try not to use my credit card a lot when I’m purchasing hosting. I’ve had my credit card charged when I’ve specifically asked them not to. I’ve never hosted with Dot5 but after your review, I don’t think I will ever. I am giving a review of 3 as neutral because there is no option to not review the site

Brian, I didn’t know dot5 was the same company as start logic. Startlogic does provide and incredibly good service so I am really surprised to hear that.
If you ticket was closed, then you should contact your card company and try to have the funds refunded to your account.

If there was a 0 I would rate them 0 over all, I have had the worst experience with this company! First of all, it took weeks to get my website up on there server, then in the middle of the the year I started having problems uploading to the server again. Once again, my website was down for about a week and a half. I then canceled my account and a year later they billed me for another year. When I called them they said they would refund me, I have been calling them for months now and each time they say they have refunded my credit card but I have yet to see a refund. DO NOT USE DOT 5 HOSTING, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!
