iPage VS AwardSpace
AwardSpace is a Germany-based web hosting company who prides itself on quality, integrity, and innovation. They provide an advantage to their customers by offering free web hosting for those who are not sure about how long they need a website, or just want to try their features before buying a hosting package. Similar to iPage, they already have over 1 million hosted sites through their service in only six years in the industry.

IPage has been around since 1998 and also has a platform with over 1 million website domains. Their focus is making web hosting easy and incredibly affordable to their customers with a single shared server hosting plan. How do you know which one to choose for your service? Our comparison and recommendation may help you. Read on.
Pricing
IPage makes web hosting easy with a single hosting plan for only $3.50 per month. Though the plan is incredibly cheap, it does not fail in features. AwardSpace offers three different shared hosting plans for $3.49/mo, $5.45/mo, and $6.99/mo. Both plans have a money back guarantee, but while AwardSpace offers a 30-day guarantee, iPage provides all their customers with an anytime guarantee for the life of their plan.
Products and Services
IPage wants to help their customers’ websites succeed. Thus, they include a free domain registration with each new account, and over $250 worth of marketing extras, including ad credits for Google, Yahoo!, and Facebook. They also provide a free site builder with each membership.
AwardSpace also offers a free domain name, site builder, and for a nominal fee for each of their marketing services, AwardSpace will help customers with keywords, search engine submission, a Facebook Fan page, and even a professional Twitter account.
Web Hosting Features
IPage’s single plan is packed with features, including unlimited file storage, monthly data transfer, MySQL databases, hosted domains, and email accounts. They provide script and software support, as well as free shopping cart software, and multi-media support.
The most comparable plan is the AwardSpace “Max” plan for double the price of the iPage plan. Their other plans come with limited amounts of disk space and data transfer, and have other limited features such as limited email accounts and databases. But, AwardSpace does offer ASP.NET support for Windows web developers, and a better choice in their version of customer control panel.
Customer Service
Both web hosts offer “24/7/365″ support, but only iPage allows their customers to contact them by phone or live chat anytime. AwardSpace only provides 24 hour help through FAQs, their online knowledgebase, and their online trouble ticket system. By far, iPage has the more superior customer help system.
Recommendations
For both companies to have over 1 million hosted domains on the books, they both must be doing something right. While AwardSpace tends to focus on the European market, iPage has 6 worldwide locations with customers in over 150 countries. Their experience is by far superior, as is their less expensive yet feature-rich hosting plan. And customer service is definitely customer-friendly at iPage. Therefore, iPage gets the recommendation from us.
