BlueHost VS SiteGround

BlueHost VS SiteGround

When looking for a good, solid web hosting company both BlueHost and SiteGround are companies worth checking out. High levels of customer support and secure equipment are just a few of the features offered by both companies.

Pricing

BlueHost is competively priced at $6.95 per month. This attractive price includes unlimited space, data transfer and hosted domains. With all the extra features and options included with each account, this is a great deal for the price.

Not to be outdone, SiteGround’s current special knocks $8 off their monthly hosting fee, offering it at just $1.95 for your first thirty days and then at $9.95 a month thereafter. The company claims “all-inclusive hosting” and backs it up with many standard unlimited features and an exclusive set of web hosting extras.

Products and Services

In addition to web site hosting, Bluehost offers a rather nice affiliate program. Each new account sign-up means $65 paid by the company to the referrer affiliate. All affiliates have access to an administration area that enables banner tracking and viewable commission payout.

SiteGround offers reseller hosting and dedicated hosting in addition to its web site hosting product. Resellers receive full featured hosting accounts at special rates and the more accounts purchased, the bigger the discount given. The company’s dedicated hosting services include VPS (Virtual Private Servers) and managed dedicated servers – all at competitive prices.

Web Hosting Features

The hosting features at BlueHost are rather extensive. Not only does the company offer unlimited space, bandwidth and hosted domains but it also includes quite a few plug-in scripts to choose from. Form-mail scripts, image galleries, project management and polling software are just a few that are offered. All hosting accounts are preset with PHP 5, Python and Ruby for all your scripting needs. To ensure the security and safety of your data, all accounts are monitored 24×7 and regular data backups are made.

A free site builder, a free domain and unlimited space and traffic are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what SiteGround has to offer its hosting customers. SiteGround hosting accounts also include SEO tools, Google Webmaster tools, search engine submissions and e-commerce and marketing packs. If you need to transfer your data from another web host, SiteGround will do this for you free of charge and all without any downtime for your site. Additionally, all accounts are monitored 24×7 and backed up off-site on a weekly basis.

Customer Service

Combining all their support options into one location, BlueHost has a nice assortment of ways to get the assistance you need. You can open a support ticket, view existing support tickets, peruse the knowledge base or watch one of over sixty video tutorials. If you’re in need of some personalized service, the company’s toll free number is clearly listed and is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Another great support option offered is their Live Chat – a quick click of a button and you’re on your way to being helped expediently and personally.

SiteGround’s support can be found within the customer log-in area. Once logged in, you’ll find support offered 24×7 and available via toll free call, e-mail or even by live chat. You’ll also have access to over 3,000 articles and tutorials.

Recommendations

Both companies offer quite a lot for the money. If your current hosting needs include site transfer assistance and a really cheap initial payout, SiteGround is the company to choose.

Why this comparison give siteground hosting over bluehost?

Why bother with no name hosting company while bluehost is a well known in web hosting industry already?

I agreed that siteground is cheaper than bluehost but what a gives? You pay cheaper as initial but pay more later to got problems solved. Why don’t you just choose a better one from the beginning? Bluehost is well known already for quality in uptime and support.

If only two choices available I will go with bluehost without a doubt.
