Bluehost VS GreenGeeks
Both offer great deals. Both keep it simple by offering one hosting plan. Where they differ is in how green one is compared to the other. Both Bluehost and GreenGeeks are great web hosting companies with a lot to offer their customers. The choice between the two depends on how eco-friendly you want your online web site to be.

Pricing
Both GreenGeeks and Bluehost offer web hosting at the same low monthly price – just $6.95. GreenGeeks offers unlimited domains, several unlimited e-mail options, unlimited disk space and monthly transfer and free site migration.
For the same price, Bluehost hosting accounts include all the features and options of a regular web account. Additionally, you’ll never have to worry about set up fees or hidden charges. Each account also comes with a free domain registration.
Products and Services
In addition to its hosting option, GreenGeeks also offers reseller hosting and an affiliate program. Each reseller account comes with a billing system, the Fantastico script library, 2 free web site builders and a variety of one-click scripts available for installation. The affiliate program pays out nicely at $100 for each referral. The one area where GreenGeeks outshines Bluehost in as far as what it can offer is its 300% green web hosting claim. The company purchases three times its power consumption in wind energy credits making it a very eco-friendly web host.
Bluehost also offers an affiliate program that pays out $65 per each referral and includes an affiliate administration area. Within this administration area you can track click-thru rates of links and banners, view your payments by sign-up and even track your commission payouts.
Web Hosting Features
There are quite a few unlimited features tossed into each Bluehost hosting account. Monthly transfers, forwarding email accounts, auto-responders, and disk storage are just a few of these features. To ensure your account is script-ready, each account is set up with PHP 5, Python and even Ruby on Rails. You can choose from many included plug-in scripts such as Coppermine and Moodle, choose from several e-commerce tools and each account has a free search engine submission added in. FrontPage extensions are available, if needed, and you can access cronjobs for customization.
Just as its counterpart offers, GreenGeeks hosting accounts are preset with PHP 5, Python and Ruby on Rails scripting. You can also choose from several e-commerce tools for your shopping cart needs and the hosting company has included a $25 credit to use toward Yahoo advertising. Some of the add-on scripts available are PHP Nuke, Moodle and WordPress. One very nice feature that GreenGeeks offers all its customers is its free site migration. You are continuously contacted throughout the move process and they will even assist with nameserver changes.
Customer Service
Both GreenGeeks and Bluehost have a centralized help center for customer support. You can access a knowledge base and submit a support ticket within each company’s help center. Additionally, both companies also offer a toll-free support number to call (though Bluehost does show their support is open 24×7 and it is unknown at GreenGeeks) and both offer a live chat option which can come in handy should an emergency support issue arise.
Recommendations
As both companies are just about the same across the board in as far as hosting features, products and services offered and customer support, it’s hard to choose which one to go with for hosting. If being friendly to the environment is a priority with you and your business, the clear choice in this case is GreenGeeks.
